Welcome speakers, we are so glad to have you on board with us for the Clinical Care Aged Care Conference in August. We are very excited to present this brand new event in Melbourne.
To ensure your experience presenting is smooth and beneficial for both yourselves and the delegates we have put together some key information on the event and important due dates.

Session Summary
To be submitted by Tuesday July 9 2024

1-2 page Word/PDF document (Overview / key points and references, further reading, resources -> delegates greatly appreciate these - 12pt, paragraph style or headings with bullet points)

Your Summary document (along with summaries from all other presenters) will be sent to delegates as part of a Conference Manual PDF prior to the event
Session Presentation
To be submitted by Tuesday July 23 2024
Guidelines (based on room size, audience position and past feedback):
-
Keep the individual page word limit to 50 (or less if images used).

Font size no smaller than 28pt
-
Presentation length: 15 - 20 slides maximum
-
Ensure only high quality pictures/graphics are used (if applicable)
-
Avoid small / highly detailed graphics (such as graphs) that may be difficult to read.

Any videos to be used can be embedded within the presentation but must also be supplied as a separate file/link
-
Sizing/Orientation of presentation needs to be 16:9 ratio

Please ensure you bring a backup copy of you PP/Presentation - we aim to have presentations pre-loaded for when you arrive

Your presentation slides will be shared with delegates post the conference
General Conference Information

Please arrive at least 30-45 mins prior to the scheduled start of your session (except for presenters attending the conference who are already on site)
Key Expectations of Presenters:

Deliver clear, concise & challenging information aligned with your session title
-
Present with enthusiasm & engagement - avoid just reading a script
-
Develop & provide strong & practical take home message(s)

Presentation timings/length must be strictly adhered to – please check your timings/length prior to the conference & ensure you bring a watch with you
Equipment
-
We will have data projector, screen, microphone (lectern), cordless controller and web access available for your presentation. No white boards.
Presenter feedback
-
Conference evaluations are offered to delegates post conference and a summary of individual feedback will be emailed to presenters.
Note on event audience: The service setting (mainly residential aged care but also community/hospital) & delegate profile (mainly RNs but may include other health professionals/managers) needs to be factored into the language used, examples given etc by all presenters during their presentations and in their Session Summary and Presentation - use generic/neutral language like service / people rather than aged care facility / residents etc.
