At Medical & Aged Care Group (11 Residential Aged Care Homes in Melbourne ) we have collaborated with Innovators TeaTime and introduced TeaTime in all our homes to enhance two way connection between people living in Aged Care & their families & staff. Exchanging photos videos and messages. We have residents & family members connecting via TeaTime from across Aust and 10 other countries. Also shares the amazing individual milestones and community events & experiences on the community feed (with privacy approvals) TeaTime has a volunteers channel (vetted volunteers from TeaTime's partnership with 'Friends for Good' to share moments photos and videos with people without family connections. No need for person to have their own device. Provides reassurance and home updates for families', helps address loneliness and inclusion and is integrated into the daily social and individual interactions across the homes. Great example of how technology can enhance connection and capture & share beautiful and meaningful moments. Jacinta - jjarutis@maacg.com.au Nathan - nneal@maacg.com.au
